Poetry By Cheyenne
There's a lot of poetry on here. Happy, sad, funny, horrible, and terrifying.
But it's all poetry, and it's all mine
And I'd love to share it with you
So give it a read!

“Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia.”

Imperfection

As a writer,
there are a few things that I've had to accept.
Some, with more difficulty than others.

Putting pen to paper,
even if done every day,
scheduled and without fail,
will not always produce perfection.

In fact,
there are many times where I can't stand what I write.
It sounds-
It flows-
It feels...
just wrong. Poorly written. Halting. Forced.
Whatever meaning I had meant to convey is lost.
And everything sounds a-jumble.

With a daily deadline to meet,
I have accepted that I won't be in love with everything I post.
That's just the hard truth.
So this will be today's poem.
I'll call it passable for now,
and hope for more creative energy for tomorrow.

Your honesty comes across in the poem, and that means a lot. If you're interested in participating in the next Wordcount podcast, the image prompt is up. You can find it here. http://rbwood.com/

I love to write, and poetry is one of my favorite ways to figure out what my brain is doing.
